ONCAREX

In 2007, Celonic has in-licensed ONCAREX, an L-aminooxidase. ONCAREX is a protein providing a broad anti-tumor activity. Originally, the protein was isolated from the slug Aplysia punctata. Its potential in cancer therapy has already been proven in-vitro and in-vivo in established animal models. Due to its mode of action ONCAREX may be developed for several types of solid tumors. In first instance ONCAREX will be developed for the treatment of head- and neck cancers and liver cancer.
