ATROSAB
ATROSAB is a new generation humanised antibody specifically binding the TNF receptor 1. Due to this high selectivity for the TNF-receptor-1 ATROSAB significantly differentiates from all know TNF-inhibitors. Based o this highly specific effect ATROSAB is expected to be effective for therapy of rheumatoid arthritis, inflammatory bowel disease, psoriasis, but also in multiple sclerosis and fulminant inflammation (e.g.sepsis). In addition, it can be expected that during therapy with ATROSAB fewer side effects (esp. infections) will occur, when compared with non-selective TNF-inhibitors. The anti-inflammatory efficacy of ATROSAB has already been proven in relevant animal models.
